Hm, are these still needed? In particular,

  • PATH issue might stem from the difference in su and su - behaviour (ALT's su is adhering to standards while even Debian's doesn't);
  • /sbin/modprobe fuse should not be needed, just rechecked and sshfs call was all it took to reload the manually removed module;
  • /etc/modules bit is correct but given the autoloading of the module in run time seems unneeded by now.
