We're happy to announce our new release, ALT Linux 4.1 Desktop. This is a general purpose GNU/Linux distribution intended for use on desktop stations, laptops and netbooks. More details about the distribution can be found at http://en.altlinux.org/ALT_Linux_4.1_Desktop

Migration

You can change repository from 4.0 to 4.1 or add ALT Linux 4.1 Desktop CD/DVD as APT source, and after it run

apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

Update should be successful and does not broke anything. Old settings should be actual.
